Synopsis Of Playtime
Ursula Montgomerry may appear to be an ordinary female but this is far from the truth. Beneath her glamorous exterior lies a messed up and twisted individual who seeks revenge in the most inhumane manner!
Childhood is supposed to be a time of happiness, innocence and youthful activities. Childhood is the one time in life where personalities are developed, friendships are made and lessons are learnt. Childhood shapes your life and creates the person that one should be in the future. Ursula Montgomerry never shared this experience. Ursula's childhood was one of much loneliness, little happiness and an almost non existent development of friendship.
Abandoned as child and frequently mocked by her peers, Ursula developed a persona shaped from torment and neglection. Her childhood was not normal and this is reflected in her behaviour. Ursula seeks revenge on all the children that isolated her from the joys of childhood. Ursula marks it as her time to play and with her childhood enemies being older and easier, Ursula seeks revenge using present children that share similarities with the personalities of her tormentors.
By luring innocent souls in with invitations to play with herm Ursula uses toys to torture children to a premature death. Each time Ursula carries out this procedure she lets go of that much more of her childhood memories. This may be her idea of fun and games but is this what you call Playtime?

Analysis of Teaser Trailer
A Teaser Trailer is a short preview used to advertise of an upcoming film, TV programme, video game used to tease the audience and give them a glimpse of what to expect. They tend to be very short in length. It is usually around 30-60 seconds long and contains a little, if any actual footage from the film. They tend to include shots that intrigue the audience and highlights of key scenes.
Below are some examples of teaser trailers.
Inception
Inception is introduced by it's production company,Warner Bros which is typical of a teaser trailer. It then goes on to show it's titles which are quite basic and monotonous. Following this is a shot of a spinning top which suggest a connotation is associated with it. It is assisted with some non-digetic music which creates suspense as it fades in and out and crescendos which coincides with the shots getting more and more intense. The randomness of the clips may create suspense as the audience is not really aware of what is going on making them want to watch the film. Inception doesn't really give away the plot of the story which may be its unique selling point.
Cemetery Junction
This teaser trailer has different characteristics to other teaser trailers in the way that it takes a upfront approach as the two 'characters' talk directly to the audience. It uses comedy to market itself which is suppose to be somewhat charismatic which is different to marketing the film on genre or big-named stars. It them goes on to show titles which corresponds which playful music which is quite confusing in the sense that the film is called 'CEMETERY JUNCTION'. This trailer doesn't show any bits of the film which in my opinion defeats the objective of a teaser trailer as the audience don't have a clue what to expect. On the other hand this could work in their favour.
Its only similarity to other teaser trailers is that it is introduced by its production company.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Speechless Mind
Paranormal Activity
Live Free Or Die Hard
What is a Teaser Trailer?
A Teaser Trailer, or teaser is a short trailer used to advertise an upcoming movie, game or television series. In this instance it will be used to promote LNC'S latest upcoming movie called 'Playtime'. As it is a Teaser Trailer, unlike typical trailers which are usually very short in length (between 30–60 seconds) our will last up to a minute and a half. It will contain short clips and actual footage from the film to give the audience a feel as to what they are in for. The film is currently still in production so the trailer will be released well in advanced and will contain featured scenes from the movie. Viewer should expect to be amazed.
Teaser Trailer Brief
The set brief for our Video project is to create a teaser trailer using titles and clips from a new fiction film which we have devised. It is to last a maximum of one minute and thirty seconds. This blog will document the pre-production, production and evaluation stages of this project.
